Good catching on day 1 by Marny and Hazlewood.

Good innings by Head. He rode his luck, but good on 'im.

Wood destroyed FTB Smith's defective technique. Not a surprise. There's nothing wrong with the batting conditions... Just not a total FT. I bet that Smith would fail and that's what he did.

Now wickets are harder to get.

And media are wondering if Warner has a cracked rib. If he can't bat in the last innings, Oz have to decide what to do...

Stumps.

2/220. Root 86*, Malan 80*.

Unsurprised. This is the nature of the Gabba wicket. Dangerous on Day 1. Then turns into a batting road.

However, Day 5 could prove interesting.

Any reason for Hazelwood not bowling?
Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Just because it's dark and stormy now doesn't meant that you aren't headed for glorious sunshine!

All out for for 297.

Lyon and Green got the last two. Englnd lost 8/74 today, after reaching 2/223. Lyon took 4/91, Cummins 2/51 (from 20 brilliant overs), Green 2/23 (and he actually looked like he might be a Test-standard bowler, for the first time), Hazlewood 1/32 and Starc 1/77.

So, 20 to win, after Lunch.

Weird statistical moment of the match - when Lyon got Pope, his figures were 2/73 from 27.3 overs.
