And Bairstow misses a stumping as Denly spins the ball past Head!

(Another invitation for me to comment about wicketkeeping standards nowadays. 8) )

Just before that, Warne said: "He's looking dangerous."

Head brings up 50.

Denly getting a bit loose this over.

22 runs from the last 19 deliveries, Warne tells us.

And another boundary. Root looks grim.

Gower thinks the Stokes delivery that took the wicket may have been a no ball. It did look like his back foot clipped the side line.

Gower: "I'd say there's a toe on the line."

It looks like the TV umpire chickened out.

That decision could cost the Test match.

They now show a freeze of a split screen. Athers thinks it's fine. Gower concedes, but thinks the TV umpire did not see the video that has now convinced him.

But no parochialism on display here. Good stuff, David.

They are now discussing Bairstow's poor keeping, watching a series of Bairstow blunders they've compiled.

Sangakkara explains that you cannot literally "stay down", and goes on to say what it really means. (It's about the eye line.) Kumar says he judges keepers on how they keep in spinning conditions like this.

On the missed stumping, Sangakkara says a good keeper like Tim Paine would pull it off 3 times out of 5. It's a matter of practice, he says.

Woakes for the first time today.

Isa talks about speculation about his absence so far. He has had knee problems in the past, she says.

S. Waugh thinks Oz is already competitive. Hmm... I don't know. The pitch does not look like it's playing tricks. There were a few balls yesterday that kept very low, but none so far today. The spin hasn't been outrageous.

And Broad from the other end.

Just the two centuries in this Test for Steve. Fourth Australian ever to make back to back centuries in an Ashes Test, I just heard them say. Steve Waugh and Matthew Hayden among them.

They show that so far Smith has had 9 plays and misses in this innings. That gives some context for Burns's forty-something in his century.

Isa on Smith: "... ... Trimmed right down..."

That's interesting. To be honest, I think he's looked quite fat these past half dozen years. How much heavier was he before?
