Australia with the best batsman and the best bowler. I think we already knew that. This is one of those times when the outcome of the points calculations reflects (at the very top, at least) that which we can (almost) all see with our own eyes.

There was no movement in the top 10 of Test bowler rankings, with Australia captain Pat Cummins remaining top ranked, well ahead of India's Ravichandran Ashwin.

With 5 Top 10 rated batsmen playing in this Test, that list could well change, with Labu a possibility to move up to #1 if Joe Root either fails or gets a low score.

Smith sits 22 ratings points behind Root.

Dave Warner's too far behind Rohit Sharma to move up from 6th. - but will narrow the margin.

The newly appointed Oz V.C., Travis Head needs another impressive innings to continue his upward trend. Anything similar to his Gabba magic could see him challenging Warner & Kohli, who sit = 6th.

There will be some movement on the Bowlers' ladder, as players lose points when they miss a match - for whatever reason.

In this case, Cummins & Haz will both lose some ratings points. PC will retain #1 but Haz could drop a couple of places.
