Jake stringer has come out and said if he leaves Essendon there’s only one club he wants to go too
He doesn’t want to move family interstate
Collingwood is his preffered destination
Do you have a source for this? Can't seem to find anything on the google...

Well then the ball is in our court.
But many supporters have said no to this move as we have seen. The trade would have to be for pick 80 or something like that now.

If Stringer is so 'undesirable', the Essendon should give us a pick as well as Stringer!!!
We should offer Pick 51 for Stringer and their third rounder from 2025
Gives them points for their academy pick this year and us points for Tom McGuane in 2025 Draft.
Personally, I would back McCrae and co to get him motivated, fit and firing in 2025.
Given the quality of our list, adding Stringer and, perhaps, Perryman, puts us back at the pointy end in 2025.
Get the guy...

This thread reminds me of an ex-gf. You just keep coming back to it when you know it should be closed.

We can finally finally end this.
Fly has just ruled out Stringer on SEN

“I'll admit, we looked at it, it came across our desk that Jake Stringer (could be gettable) … you have a look at the depth of it.
“But I'm happy to say here that we won't be bringing Jake Stringer to the footy club.
“Not because of any or many reasons, but to the rumour that I want him, that’s a bit of a stretch.
“We did our research, and we did all things behind the scenes like where he fits on our list, the money, the tenure and whatever.
“But no, I'm happy to say he won't be coming to Collingwood next year.”

Pretty emphatic that statement I would think.

^Yes Jen^
Why does he say "happy to say" maybe it is happy to break the news here... not that they are happy that Stringer and his shady cohort will not be darkening our door!

So he’s still a chance then?

Glad Fly put an end to this madness and kicked package into a bottomless pit after yelling "This is Collingwood!"

Stringer was one of several players at a GF lunch yesterday.
He was asked why he wasn’t going to Collingwood. He answered that it was because of his associates. He gave the impression that he didn’t know whether he would be at Essendon or elsewhere next season.
He was also asked to analyse the Swans forward line in the GF. He responded that he couldn’t because he didn’t watch much football and he didn’t know them.

While I think he could have been good for us the question mark for me was motivation to win a flag and off-field discipline. He won in 2016 and movitation post-30 wanes unless players are strongly driven to win a premiership as many of our veterans were in 2023.

I think we can mark this package return to sender.

Bluehoos have been very quiet... wouldn't surprise me if they take him, especially if Kennedy leaves (with Martin delisted and Owies seemingly also to be traded).
