I thought his game week 1 of the final was excellent he performed really well particularly when the pressure was on.
His game against Brisbane was polar opposite, it was one of the worst games I have seen him play. I am not sure what was going on but to me it seemed that his mind wasn't on the job (or maybe he was trying to hard and panicked after he was statless in the first quarter). The passage of play where he ran passed the ball in dispute to tackle the Bris player who also didn't have the ball was totally bizzare. This to me proves mentally he wasn't switched onto the game at hand.

That’s the way don’t let truth get in the way of a twisted agendaPies4shaw wrote:The only surprise about this is that some commentators think it is surprising.
This is the very reason we paid to get him off our books. It took us two focused off-seasons after that appalling 7 kick effort in the 2019 PF to achieve it - but we got what we wanted.
If a appalling 7 kick game on the big stage was the catalyst for being traded out the Sidey would have been gone a full season prior after his 2018 GF “appearance” because it couldn’t be called playing
Truth is we offered up Sidey (to both north and hawks) long before we offered up Treloar
But you continue in with your version if it makes you happy the rest of the free world will be comfortable knowing the truth
^ Treloar - much like Dylan Shiel - turned out to be an overrated commodity, and superfluous to all pragmatic midfield requirements once we began the process of a serious list rebuild.
Other than mental health considerations, there is no twist.
The only failure in agenda was our inability to secure a trade with GC for a top 10 pick.

I have seen a total of 1 article saying we're paying him a little under $1 million total: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/ada ... 56mtl.htmlMJ23 wrote:No we are not.Take_a_Screamer wrote:We're paying him $1.5 million to play. C'mon Adam do your stuff!
We want our money's worth.
Every other article, before and since, says $1.5m. Would love to have some more evidence - if it exists - to stick it up Dogs supporters
So if anyone has it, please share

I'm pleased that "we" failed to get him off the books in 2019, because he was clearly one of our best players in the awe inspiring, unforgettable elimination final win against the Eagles, just over 12 months ago.qldmagpie67 wrote:That’s the way don’t let truth get in the way of a twisted agendaPies4shaw wrote:The only surprise about this is that some commentators think it is surprising.

No, he really didn't. He barely touched the ball when the game was in the balance. When the wheels fell off Essendon, he suddenly came good. His touching the ball a bit in the last 45 minutes was an effect, not a cause.Swanny2011 wrote:I thought his game week 1 of the final was excellent he performed really well particularly when the pressure was on.

We can blame the club for the desperate manner in which the "fire sale" was handled. Ideally we should've made the move a year earlier rather than a last minute rush.5:11pm wrote:^ Treloar - much like Dylan Shiel - turned out to be an overrated commodity, and superfluous to all pragmatic midfield requirements once we began the process of a serious list rebuild.

We're awfully dumb when it comes to not showing our hand. The entire known world knew we were forcing Adam out the door so it completely destroyed his trade value and our leverage.
