I was surprised there wasn't more made about the '6-6-6' warning against Collingwood and Brisbane that meant the centre bounce was changed to a ball up before Jordan de Goey’s fourth quarter goal. Seems a little bit odd to me that the team 'penalised' immediately profits from their own infringement. Crazy rule.

Just watched the game again, torture for the looser and absolute joy for the winner. Perhaps a non sympathy card to that rancorous seething old <snip> at the Age.
Pi = Infinite = Collingwood = Always

You mean the bounce that should have been called back but Cox got pinged for a block because it went over everyone’s heads. Brisbane got a goal from that.

Crazy rule. Throwing the ball up every time would have avoided that bad 'anti-climax' bounce' on Saturday. Attention needs to be on the players, not the Umpire.

I’m so happy for the whole team,just a wonderful bunch of young men who have worked so hard for this success.But most of all I’m happy for the great oldies in the team,Pendlebury,Sidebottom and Howe,These are all great players,Collingwood legends and terrific people in general.How could anyone begrudge them winning this flag?It’s just so we’ll deserved in every case,and thank God none of them thought about retiring before this happened!

I tipped Tom to win the Norman.He was very ,very good. I have to bring a bit of negativity on here as Tom Mitchel was pretty maligned by quite a few Collingwood "Supporters" .To old, too slow, play the kids blah blah. Same with OLEG what a game. fearless and gave us plenty of run off the backline ,breaking the lines.And finally,I cannot leave this without mentioning what a great game big Mason Cox played. He was simply magnificent and I think his ruck work won us the game. What a game what a result. We WILL go back to back and McStay,Adams and Noble will get their chance at their Medal.

some amazing stats in the herald sun points (superscore)

nine players over 100 points (compared to three for brisbane) which shows how much better we were.

Tom Mitchell - 139 points (42 points greater then his average for the year)
Nick D - 131 points (15 greater ...)
Pendles - 127 points (32 greater ...)
Hill - 118 points (56 points ! greater than his average for the year)
Sidey - 112 points (24 greater..)
Howe - 112 points (35 greater ...)

deGoey, Crisp, Cameron

most of thse guys saving their best game of the year for the grand final, nice,
