Yes. I'd think that Poulter, Cox (I'm trying to be fair here, I don't really rate him) and Wilson are the ones who have impressed. Lynch has been (just) OK in the ruck, Chugg hasn't gone on with his very good work from last week, Tohill kicks out well but is a long way short of playing senior footy. McInnes, Ginnivan and McMahon continue to develop but you would hope, for their sake, that they'd be given more time. Henry doesn't get into the game enough, either, yet. Bear in mind, too, that Rantall, Tyler Brown, Kelly and WHE are all "outs" - there are a lot more VFL-listed players this week and the drop in general talent across the ground s apparent.

I hope so - it's difficult to evaluate the kids when they are surrounded by a lot of not-especially-good players but I try not to be unrealistic. By the way, Poulter is continuing to be our most prominent player.WarrenerraW wrote:Fair assessment. At the end of the day this is a young inexperienced side devoid of mature experienced bodies to help out, so we can't expect the world, and good things take time. Let's hope they continue to develop well and push for selection later in the year.
Henry just kicked his second from a free. 'Pies trail 6.13 to 12.13, not much time left.

Obviously we had a depleted team, given the promotion to the seniors of McCreery, Macrae, Rantall and Murphy, but nevertheless, it was rather disappointing.
The only bright spots to my eye was the form of Poulter and Chugg. The former is an exciting prospect as a winger and the latter is a strong bodied running defender, who could take Quaynor's spot, if we ever are bold enough to move him into the midfield.

Thanks, P4S. Disappointing to register our first loss for the year.
Poulter the most exciting prospect going by all reports. I would anticipate he's not far away from playing senior football.
