At lunch, WI 6/34.

They need only 357 more runs to win!

I'm getting ready to add this effort to the batting collapses thread...

Question: Does Maharaj not have to complete his over after lunch? :?:

Has there been a rule change?

I've noticed some innings with non-whole numbers of overs (e.g. Southee recently) without any sign of injury...

Lunch was called... But Maharaj was also injured in his wicket celebration. Stretchered off.

So dunno if there's been a rule change. Dunno what happened in the Southee case.

Well, they're fighting each other for the last automatic spot in the ODI WC... But this series does not count for that!!

And now Markram's been named S. Africa's new Slogathon captain, with Bavuma axed from the squad.

Musical chairs for S. Africa??

"Bavuma will instead concentrate on his role as Test and one-day international skipper, with Wednesday's second five-day game against the touring Caribbean side to be followed by three ODIs between March 16-21.

Bavuma had a torrid time as Proteas T20 skipper in 2022, averaging 13.40 with the bat from 12 matches which included an early exit from the T20 World Cup in Australia."

(Reuters)
Bavuma made a century in vain in the 2nd ODI.

Bavuma 144, Hope 128*.
