So, with just one game remaining for each team to determine the final four, Gujurat Titans will finish in 1st place. Rajasthan and Lucknow are two games behind but one game ahead of 4th-placed Delhi. Delhi and Bangalore (5th) are both one game ahead of Kolkata, Punjab and Hyderabad. So, Delhi is best-placed to make the 4 - a win against the bottom-placed Mumbai will get them over the line. Bangalore will have to beat the top team and hope. There are mathematical possibilities but you'd back the present top 4 to be the final 4.
Lucknow put on 0/210. QdK made 140* from 70 balls. KKR started poorly but reached 6/208, needing 3 from the last 2 balls to win (and just 2 to take it to a super over), after taking 18 from the first 4 balls of the 20th over. Stoinis took wickets with both balls.
So, KKR is eliminated and Lucknow are 2nd. They will play finals - and would finish 2nd if the Royals lose their final game.
"In a high-scoring thriller, Marcus Stoinis held his nerve to claim wickets off the final two balls of the match as Lucknow secured a playoff spot with a two-run win"
And he finishes with 40* from 18. They win by 8 wickets with 8 balls remaining. If Delhi lodse, they'll make the finals, otherwise they're done. Gujurat will still finish top.
