India pass 200, but Southee gets Ashwin.

India 7/205 (85.5).

Into the tail, but Jadeja is still there.

It's a stupid concept. Test cricket doesn't admit of a "final" - unless the opposition is the WIndies, in which case only two days is required for a result.

NZ 4/134. Yes, they have been batting all morning. Williamson obviously enjoyed watching Pujara bat and thought he'd see if he could go slower.

NZ 6/162 (82.1)

CdG out. Can Jamieson star with the bat as he did with the ball? What a start it has been for the big man in Test cricket.

The new ball was taken. But there's not necessarily so much difference between new and old balls.

There's life in this Test despite the rain. Test cricket is so much better when there is something for the bowlers. If hopeless teams like England and Oz had been batting against the bowlers of these two sides, we might already have gone through 4 complete innings by now.

The bowling and batting of India and NZ have justified them being the finalists.

Jamieson is taking risks. He's in double figures already but has had at least a couple of false strokes along the way.

Jamieson lives and dies by the sword. A 6 and then out next ball.

Still, a handy innings. 21 (16).

Shami has 4 wickets. The wicketless Bumrah is only the 3rd or 4th best bowler in this Indian innings!

NZ 7/192.

It looks like there will be a narrow innings lead for either team. Still time for an exciting finish!
