I wonder if the selectors will think that, on reflection, they should have gone into this game with at least 3 competent international bowlers.

Who would they be, though? Add Lyon or Zampa in place of Khawaja or Marsh?

Time to start thinking about the next World Cup line up. This one cannot win. The batting today was inexcusable but can be better; the bowling, on the other hand, is mostly rubbish.

Starc comes around the wicket.

They appeal for caught behind. Not out. Will they review?
Yes, with one second remaining.

There's a spike on snicko. Out!

That was very close.

8/264 (44.2).
And Starc will get a go at the new batsman.

A late-breaking review and Australia gets a wicket, finally. That may be enough, provided they don't have to let Maxwell bowl again.

Odds: Oz 94%, Pakistan 6%.

But that's before Starc bowls the new batsman. Two wickets in the over. Just like against WI. This has swung the game.

Brilliant fielding by Maxwell to end the match with a run out.

Oz 307 beat Pakistan 266.
