Already overdone.

Must we use American B grade comedy actors and/or their characters to burden our players ?
"The sergeant" will be a fine addition to our team. What I particularly liked, watching his highlights, is how powerfully built he is. Don't fret over giving up a future 1st round pick. They are always a gamble, sadly as recent history has shown for us, whereas Shultz is a ready made proven forward. Throw him and McStay into our GF side and we'd have been a 4-5 goal better team.
Hehe the pair of us have been banging on about a ready made forward every trade period for ever!

And he is very defensive too! He will fit right in!
I’m stoked!

Wow.

The Age headline this morning was "Pies, Schultz stalemate":

'The Dockers have told the Pies the pick they want on top of the future first, with Collingwood spending the weekend considering whether to accept the deal or walk away.'

So a close call??

No argument TB - Port were a bit precious asking a future first for a player they delisted and re-rookied a couple of years ago but the cost is insignificant compared to the value he represents in the upgrade of our scoring and defensive forward stock.

It's not about "winning" the trade, it's about getting it done.
They are mutually "inclusive"

Collingwood footy boss Wright on Schultz, Adams’ request, Ginnivan and more
Collingwood General Manager of Football Graham Wright joined AFL Trade Radio to discuss his club’s trade period.

“...But in our belief, Lachie was probably the best player in the trade or free agent group. So, we are really excited to have him part of Collingwood.”

“...We feel he can play a number of roles for us. We've got specific types that we have targeted or that we like to target and he fit into that category. I think he's in the best two or three pressure players in the competition, particularly in the front half of the ground. But he hits the scoreboard, he's an outstanding score assist player, we know he's got the ability to go through the midfield. He's actually got really high endurance, great speed and great power and as I said before, he's a good finisher..."
