What a gutsy and mature effort by our young ruckman vs the Doggies! Last week he had his colours lowered in no uncertain terms. He probably had every right to think he'd be dropped. There were plenty of "experts" saying he should be sent back to the Magoos for a bit of experience. Great decision by the selectors (MM) to leave him in against the big boys - it's pretty hard to get experience against the best unless you're in there cutting it with them. So, after his poorer performance a week earlier, did he come into this game sheepishly hoping for improvement ? NO WAY!! He rucked brilliantly, he chased, he marked, he spoiled, he tackled, he ran and he did himself and his team proud. Great effort, young fella - you will be a very special player for our club for a long time!
