Will be a lot of late nights for some. A lot of friendly banter as well. The Scottish are pretending it isn't on. The Aussies and Kiwis are barracking for whoever is playing who we are with.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

France won the opening game 2:1. Brilliant, late left-foot shot from Payet curled back into the corner, out of the Romanian keeper's reach, snatched the victory.

SBS2 has a fantastic 1 hour highlights package at 6.30pm every night - perfect for those of us without pay tv, or those of us who struggle with the start times.

Just watched the highlights of this morning's two games. The Hungarians were brilliant with their passing where it mattered, in the last third of the pitch.

Yep agree. Was beautiful to watch the defence being split open by such brilliant ball movement and running.

Been some very good games thus far.

In Group A, France (6 points from 2 games) has certainly qualified for the next stage. Groups B and C will both come down to match day 3. Groups D, E and F haven't played their second matches, yet. Because it is a 24-team competition, only 8 teams will be eliminated in the Group stage (so the top 2 teams will go through from 2 groups and the "top" 3 teams will go through from the other 4 groups).
