Day shoots 8 under 62.

Jason Day roared back into form, with an 8 under par 62 in the second round of the US PGA Travelers Championship.

Coupled with a first round 69, he leads, on 9 under.

"The Aussie battled through back stiffness for the duration of the day to post his bogey-free score and put himself in a position to claim his first victory on the PGA TOUR since 2018."

Other Aussies:

Adam Scott finished his day tied for 58th at 2 under, just making the cut.

Mark Leishman & Cam Smith are tied for 21st. Both are 5 under.

Cameron Percy & Matt Jones are 1 back, on minus 4. Lucas Herbert is on 3 under.

Day and Smith are on -9, 1 stroke behind the 2 leaders, Hickok & Watson, after round 3.

Cam Smith is right there, in contention. He shot a 4 under 66. Day, 70.

Mark Leishman was runner up, by 1 stroke to Kramer Hickok and Harris English.

English won the playoff.

Leishman finished with an excellent 64.

Day shot a par round to tie for 10th. Scott fired a 67 to finish equal 13th
