Aussie wins Irish Open Golf.

Post by Donny »

"Australian golfer Lucas Herbert completed a wire-to-wire victory at the Irish Open yesterday, shooting a four-under 68 in the final round to win by three strokes and secure a place at the British Open.

It was Herbert’s second title on the European Tour, after the Dubai Desert Classic in January 2020."

Cameron Davis also had a big win.

"He won his maiden PGA Tour title at the Rocket Mortgage Classic in an incredible playoff that capped off a wonderful week for Australian golf. The Aussie produced a thrilling final round of golf that included an incredible hole-out from the bunker on the 71st hole to force his way into the playoff."

On Davis.

"The 26-year-old from Sydney turned professional in 2016 and his breakthrough in Detroit is his first win on the PGA Tour.

He won the 2017 Australian Open, his first major professional victory.

But this PGA Tour win is by far his biggest to date, and Davis is expected to walk away with a cheque worth US$1.35 million."
