Bri Davey
Ruptured ACL & torn MCL, out for the season

Tarni Brown
Underwent a concussion screening after clash against Carlton and will miss round two on Saturday.

Bella Smith
Recovering from a concussion sustained at training last week and will be unavailable for selection against St Kilda.

There more then that too. Wasnt there 3 other players with ACLs and they are stars for their teams.

Could Bri Davey play in the latter part of the VFLW. Or is she out till this time next year 2023.

That'd be really nice. But I dont know if she'll be ready to play within 12 months.

Steph Chiocci a late out today. (Achilles). Chloe Molloy also out, but as a close contact, meaning she'll be ok next week providing her test is ok.

After Round 2:

Erica Fowler:
Concussion, unavailable for selection against Geelong.

Imogen Barnett:
Back. Barnett has pulled up well with no structural issues after collision during Saints game. To be assessed during the week should be available,

Steph Chiocci:
Achilles. Will depend on training this week and will be a test for the Cats.

Tarni Brown:
COVID protocols. Has recovered from her concussion, but now out of action in round 3 due to the AFL's health and safety protocols.

Bella Smith:
Concussion. The medical team will assess her throughout the week as she aims to return from a head knock.

After Round 3:

Erica Fowler:
Concussion. Expected to be available for selection for Round 4

Tarni Brown:
COVID protocols. Missed round 3 due to the AFL's health and safety protocols, available for selection this week.

Steph Chiocci:
Achilles. Expected to return for Round 4 against Freo.

Good to see more incoming.

Probably have 1 player out tomorrow due to the covid protocol thing.

Aliesha Newman (Concussion), 1 week.

Olivia Meagher (Concussion), TBC.

Bri Davey (Knee), season.

Brit Bonnici (Knee), season.

And of course Ash Brazill is overseas and not playing this AFLW season. Shame for Brittany Bonnici who would have been in the AFLW team of the year. With 2 games left, I guess it's still possible?

Is it just the three, or have I missed someone?

Aliesha Newman will return for the final game of the regular season. Olivia Meagher also had a concussion, but was listed as "TBC". Unless something is wrong, she'll be available for selection too you'd think.

Erica Fowler went to hospital during the game against Adelaide with a neck injury. She was able to fly home with teammates and is experiencing no concussion symptoms, just neck soreness. She's unlikely to play against Richmond, but may be available in week 1 of finals.

Jaimee Lambert suffered a rib injury during the game but was able to return to the field. She'll be listed as a test and may miss one week.

Mikala Cann had a minor toe concern and although was seen wearing a moon boot, played the game against the Crows and will be ok to play against Richmond.

As we know, Bri Davey (Knee) and Brit Bonnici (Knee) are both gone for 12 months. And Ash Brazill is playing netball overseas. Get the win against Richmond and we could be heading into week 1 of finals with just these three missing.

Mikala Cann has a broken toe.
Injury happened a couple of weeks ago.

Played against the Bulldogs with a pain killing injection.

Newman returned this week, with Caan also remaining in the squad. Both Fowler and Lambert are out there playing today. Injuries are a part of world sport. Sometimes they can be long term and even career threatening and soetimes they can be short term or very minor. Please stop posting worst case scenarios the second someone gets hurt. Just be patient and wait for word from the league or club rather than guessing or going to the worst case scenario.

Olivia Meagher still has concussion symptoms. Last week she was listed as "TBC". She did not play in the VFLW or AFLW today. Hopefully she'll be ok to play next week.

We still have a half of footy to go today, but hopefully we get through unscathed and go into week 1 of finals with only Bri Davey (Knee) and Brit Bonnici (Knee) out of action. (And Brazill who is overseas playing netball).
