The magical Ryan Papenhuyzen

Is he the greatest show on Earth, at the moment? I know NRL isn't our favourite sport - but the Storm actually play a different game from the rest of the competition and Papi is perhaps the greatest exponent of that.

The man who personally won the 2020 NRL Grand Final (in a way that an AFL player could only dream about) - and has scored more points so far in 2022 than several entire NRL teams - turns 24 next month.

I'm a little surprised there isn't more interest in him on here - one of the greatest stars Australian sport has to offer: consistent, consistently brilliant, courageous and a thoroughly decent person off the field.

It's scarcely credible to think that Wests let him go because he "was too small".

And, just for fun, the amazing Anzac Day game - in which the Storm put 70 points up, including 54 in the second half: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8X9iJJJ9oac In that one, Craig Bellamy showed mercy on the hapless Warriors by withdrawing Papi with about 20 minutes to go - but there he is, pi$$ing himself laughing as the O-Ram goes over for the final try.
