US Open Golf.
Adam Scott will be the first Aussie to hit off. Followed by Mark Leishman.
Jed Morgan (new one on me): "Morgan earned his first U.S. Open start by leading the Order of Merit on the PGA Tour of Australasia. Morgan turned professional in October 2021 and has played primarily on the PGA Tour of Australasia and some mini-tours. He won the 2020 Australian Amateur Championship. " is next.
Followed by Cam Smith, Min Woo Lee and Lucas Herbert.
Todd Sinnott. Another Aussie new to me: "Sinnott, a member of the PGA Tour of Australasia, earned his first U.S. Open start by surviving a 3-for-1 playoff for the final spot in the Final Qualifying event held at Caledonian Golf Club in Chiba, Prefecture, Japan. He posted rounds of 68-70 for a 36-hole total of 6-under-par 138. Sinnott owns two worldwide victories, one one on the PGA Tour of Australasia and another on the Asian Tour/Japan Golf Tour. His latest title came in February at the TPS Victoria on the PGA Tour of Australasia.
Playing in his first U.S. Open"
Not playing: Jason Day has a minor back strain and also wants to be with his wife, Ellie, for the birth of their 5th. child.

Betting.
McIlroy is the fave. Around 10/1
Next is Thomas at 12/1. Scheffler is also twelves.
There, Skids ? I can't find odds on other players. Other than 1200+ or similar: "Justin Thomas and Scottie Scheffler round out the top three favorites, both sitting at +1200 to win the event. Jon Rahm, last year's champion, starts the week at +1400 to win it all."
How do those numbers relate to, say 10/1, 25/1 etc. ?

Rory McIlroy +1000 (bet $10 to win $110)
Justin Thomas +1200 (bet $10 to win $130)
Scottie Scheffler +1200 (bet $10 to win $130)
Jon Rahm +1400 (bet $10 to win $150)
Cameron Smith +2000 (bet $10 to win $210)
Patrick Cantlay +2200 (bet $10 to win $230)

Smith is 7 over and likely to miss the cut.
My hopes are on Adam Scott. He's 1 under, just 2 behind the leaders. I had $10 on him at 100/1.
Leishman is on even par.
Lee is plus 5.
Sinnott is 1 over and tied for 37th. He was a 1000/1 chance. The other roughy is Jed Morgan. He's 17 over.
