Australia A Match Washed Out
Rain ruins tour match - Herald-Sun
April 08, 2003
TODAY'S cricket tour match between Australia A and South Africa A has been abandoned due to rain without a ball bowled.
The match was due to start at 11am (AEST), however constant drizzle made the bowler's run-ups at the Albert Ground too wet and unsafe.
A Cricket Victoria spokesman said it had yet to be decided whether to reschedule the match tomorrow.
That may not be possible because both sides are due to fly to Hobart for the fourth match of the series on Thursday.
Australia leads the seven-match series 2-0.

As it seems Blewett, Langer and Slater are out of the selectors thinking for the Oz one-day team, who is next 'cab off the rank'?
Brad Hodge's chances were given a shot in the arm with his 69 and 5/28 in the second of these matches.
He's been previously thought of as a stylish batsman who could 'roll the arm over' if needed but has worked hard on his offies and is getting the results.
